How to check your track's loudness

  3. Scan the platform table: it shows how far you are from each target and whether your peaks are safe.

Frequently asked questions

Is my audio uploaded anywhere?
No — the file is decoded and measured entirely in your browser using the Web Audio API. Nothing is sent to a server.
What LUFS should my track be for Spotify?
Spotify normalises to about −14 LUFS integrated (YouTube and TIDAL are similar, Apple Music around −16). Louder masters simply get turned down, so aim for a master that still sounds great at −14 rather than chasing maximum loudness.
What is true peak and why does it matter?
True peak estimates the real analog peak between digital samples. If it exceeds about −1 dBTP, lossy encoding (the MP3/AAC streaming platforms use) can clip and distort your track even though the digital samples never hit 0.
My track measured quiet — is that bad?
Not necessarily. A mix with healthy headroom (−18 LUFS or quieter) is the ideal input for mastering. If it's a finished master, though, being far below −14 LUFS means it will sound noticeably quieter next to commercial releases.
