YouTube Thumbnail & Banner Maker
Bold, clean YouTube art in a minute — 1280×720 thumbnails and 2560×1440 channel banners with the all-devices safe zone marked so your name never gets cropped off on TV or phone.
How to make YouTube art that doesn't get cropped
- Pick thumbnail or channel banner — the canvas switches to the right size automatically.
- Type your main text; keep it short and bold so it's readable at feed size.
- Optionally add your cover art or a photo as the background — a scrim keeps text readable.
- For banners, keep everything inside the dashed safe zone, then download the PNG and upload it to YouTube.
Frequently asked questions
What sizes does it export?
Thumbnails export at 1280×720 (YouTube's recommended size) and channel banners at 2560×1440, both as PNG.
What is the banner safe zone?
YouTube crops channel banners differently on TV, desktop and phones. Only the central 1546×423 area is visible everywhere — the maker shows that zone as a dashed guide and keeps your text inside it. The guide never appears in the export.
Can I use my own image as the background?
Yes — upload cover art or a photo and it's cover-fitted behind your text with a subtle dark scrim so the title stays readable. Without an image you get a clean gradient in your theme colors.
Is it really free?
Yes — everything renders in your browser on a canvas, so there's nothing to pay for and nothing is uploaded.
