MIDI Patterns

Instant melody, chord and drum patterns — pick a key, roll until something hits, download the .mid and drag it into your DAW.

How to generate MIDI melodies, chords and drum patterns

  1. Pick what you want to generate: melody, chord progression or drum pattern.
  2. Choose a key and scale so everything lands in tune with your project.
  3. Preview the pattern in the built-in piano roll and reroll until something clicks.
  4. Download the .mid file and drag it straight into FL Studio, Ableton or any DAW.

Questions fréquentes

Are the generated MIDI files royalty-free?
Yes — patterns are generated for you and free to use in your own productions, commercial or not.
Which DAWs can open the .mid files?
All of them. MIDI is a universal format — FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Studio One, Reaper and every other DAW imports .mid files.
The melody sounds basic — how do I make it mine?
Treat it as a starting point: change the rhythm of a few notes, add passing notes, or layer a counter-melody. Our piano roll tips show quick ways to develop a simple idea.
What if I do not know which key to pick?
A minor (or its relative C major) is a safe default for most beats. Matching a sample? Find its key first with the key and BPM finder.
