Frequently Asked Questions
Everything people ask about HOPEX AI — accounts, credits, privacy, downloads and the tools. Still stuck? Contact support.
Getting started
Is HOPEX AI free to use?
A big part of it, yes. All the browser tools — key/BPM detection, metronome, LUFS checker, waveform art, lyric videos, the artwork kit, the quiz and more — are completely free, no account needed. The AI studio tools (song maker, mastering, stem splitting, cover art and so on) are part of the paid membership and run on credits.
Do I need an account?
Not for the free tools. An account (free to create) unlocks saving your work, the community features, badges and profiles. A paid membership unlocks the AI studio tools and the download vault.
Which login options are there?
Discord, Google, Apple, or classic email + password — all on the dashboard login.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes — every tool is built mobile-first and tested on iPhone. Heavy renders (videos, 8D audio) work on phones too, but a laptop is faster for long songs.
Membership & credits
What are credits and how do they work?
Credits are the currency for AI runs. Every plan includes a monthly allowance, and each AI tool shows its exact cost on the button before you run it. If a run fails, credits are refunded automatically. Top up with credit packs any time from the credits page.
What's the difference between Silver, Gold and Platinum?
All plans unlock every AI tool and the vault — the difference is monthly credits and extras. Higher tiers get more credits, unlimited FL project downloads, and Platinum includes personal track feedback from HOPEX. Full comparison on the subscribe page.
How do I cancel?
Any time from My account → Manage subscription — it opens the Stripe portal where cancelling takes two clicks. You keep access until the end of the paid period, and your library stays in your account.
Do unused credits roll over?
Monthly plan credits refresh with your billing cycle; purchased credit packs don't expire while your account exists.
Your audio & privacy
Is my audio uploaded when I use the tools?
Free browser tools: never — everything runs on your device. AI analysis tools (Track Feedback, Arrangement Assistant) send only numbers — loudness, tempo, energy — never the audio. Generation tools (stem splitting, mastering, vocals) do process your file on a server, and results land in your private library.
Can I use what I create commercially?
Content you generate from your own material (your lyrics, beats, artwork) is yours to use in your productions and releases. For AI-generated content, check your distributor's current policies before a major release — platform rules evolve. More in the terms.
Who can see my generations?
Only you, unless you choose to share — pinning a track to your public profile or entering it in a Beat Battle makes that track visible to others.
Tools & troubleshooting
A tool says it isn't switched on yet — what does that mean?
Some AI tools depend on server functions that are deployed separately. That message means the feature hasn't been activated yet — it's not a bug on your end, and no credits were taken.
Why does a video render take as long as the song?
The lyric video and visualizer makers record the canvas in real time in your browser — a 3-minute song takes 3 minutes. Keep the tab open while it renders; nothing is uploaded.
My generation is taking long — is it stuck?
AI vocals and songs typically take 1–3 minutes. The page keeps checking, and finished tracks always land in My Generations, so nothing is lost even if you close the tab.
Why can't I pick my MP3 in the file browser on iPhone?
That was an iOS quirk we've fixed — if you still see files greyed out, force-refresh the page (pull down) so your phone loads the latest version.
Chrome downloads MP4 but my browser gives WebM — why?
Video export uses your browser's built-in encoder. Chrome encodes MP4 directly; Safari/Firefox produce WebM, which YouTube, TikTok and Instagram all accept.
Community, badges & downloads
How do I earn badges and climb the leaderboard?
By using the site: creating with the AI tools, making friends on Connect, fighting Beat Battles, acing the quiz and completing your profile. Badges carry points (common 10 → legendary 100) that set your level and leaderboard rank. The achievements page lists every badge.
What's in the members vault?
Sample packs, drum kits, MIDI packs, acapellas, FL Studio project files, synth and vocal presets, and video tutorials — all included with any subscription, with new drops added over time.
Can I use vault sounds in songs I sell?
Yes — vault content is royalty-free for your own productions and releases. You can't resell or redistribute the sounds themselves (e.g. repackaging them as your own sample pack).
I found a bug or have a feature idea — where do I send it?
Use the floating feedback button on any page, or the support page. Reports with the page name and what you tapped get fixed fastest.
