How to use these delay times

Set your delay plugin to "time" mode (not sync) and paste the millisecond value: 1/4 notes give classic echoes, dotted 1/8 is the timeless lead/vocal delay, and triplets add swing. For slap-back, use the 1/32 or 1/64 value.

Why time your reverb to the tempo?

A decay that ends on the beat keeps the mix clean — the tail gets out of the way before the next hit. Use the pre-delay to keep the dry transient punchy, and pick the decay that matches the size you want: tight room for drums, standard for vocals, big hall for pads.
